Often, the best way to get through a difficult obstacle is to learn and connect with others experiencing the same thing. This is exactly what we aim to achieve with our latest production of 60 short, patient education videos to help Multiple Sclerosis and Hepatitis C patients undergoing treatment. We’ve just touched back from our two-week production marathon of shooting in Louisville, Kentucky and New York City. These videos are part of a personalized and simplified story-driven platform, that will channel straight to patient’s smart phones, at the time they choose to watch.
Here, both the MS and Hepatitis C patients going through the treatments, and their caregivers will receive these videos as guidance for emotional coping, proper use of medication, dealing with specific side effects, and support for making lifestyle changes.
Our job is to relay this complex, and often jargon-filled information through personal testaments. Our two-week shooting schedule was full of stories of overcoming incredible obstacles from people of all walks of life. For example: Hepatitis C was incurable for so long; receiving that diagnosis was essentially a slow death sentence. Fortunately, the science has caught up. Now, there is a treatment plan, which allows patients to return to fully functioning, normal lifestyles. It’s exciting to learn about these incredible advancements in medicine, and to tap into the emotional human aspect that results from it.
