Suzanne Lee Chetwood’s “Slickrock”
Acrylic on Canvas
Idaho has no shortage of amazing artists and this year we were honored to work with several of them during the filming of Idaho the Movie 2.
Suzanne Lee Chetwood is a painter and ceramics artist who captures Idaho’s landscapes in her work, “I recall the forms of earth I visit, reviving them with clay and paint,” says Suzanne. She generously donated her acrylic “Slickrock” to the Idaho the Movie 2 raffle to support conservation efforts in Idaho. She painted it during filming… on the same day she scaled the subject of her work. Slickrock is one of Idaho’s tallest back-country rock climbing routes. Suzanne and her husband Patrick share their love of the mountains and rock climbing, and her artistic take on Idaho’s wild places in a segment appearing in Idaho the Movie 2.
Idaho the Movie 2 premieres Tuesday, November 15th at the Egyptian Theatre in Boise. The one night only showing is presented by The Nature Conservancy. Tickets are FREE but online registration is required. Enter the $5.00 raffle for your chance to take home Suzanne’s “Slickrock”– an original painting valued at $500. Many other prizes will be raffled off that night as well and all proceeds will go to support conservation efforts in Idaho.
And if you can’t make the Egyptian Premiere, don’t worry. Idaho the Movie 2 will broadcast on KTVB/KTFT in Boise and Twin Falls on November 25th, the Friday after Thanksgiving at 7pm. Airdates across the NW will follow. Visit idahothemovie.com for more information.
