Idaho, the Movie, our scenic landscape documentary about one of America’s most spectacular and least known states, was honored with a 2013 Emmy Award from the NW Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. The program was selected for an Emmy in the Documentary – Cultural category. The program was also nominated for Emmy’s in the categories of Program Length Photography and Program Length Editing. Congratulations to our team at Wide Eye Productions, including our photography staff: Tom Hadzor, Bill Krumm and Kevin Eslinger who criss-crossed the state multiple times shooting footage for the film. Also to our staff member and editor, Bill Krumm who spent hundreds of hours editing Idaho, the Movie. And Lana Tidwell who provided production support and wrote and produced the Behind the Scenes video about the making of Idaho, the Movie. It was a team effort, to be sure.
We also want to extend a big thank you to our writer and narrator, Tim Woodward who did a beautiful job capturing the beauty of Idaho with words. We also want to thank Idaho Public Television, including Peter Morrill and Jeff Tucker for their support of our program by allowing the use of their stunning HD aerials in the program. KTVB General Manager Doug Armstrong was an early supporter of the program as well, offering a prime time air slot on KTVB for our show and also supporting us in reaching out to sister stations around the Northwest.
Idaho, the Movie broadcast across the Northwest on local affiliate television stations and on Northwest Cable News, reaching more than 10 million homes.
