Our three DP’s, Tom Hadzor, Kevin Eslinger and Bill Krumm just returned from an intensive, all day workshop with Alex Buono, the Director of Photography for the Saturday Night Live Film Unit.
Buono’s workshop, dubbed “THE ART OF VISUAL STORYTELLING” delivered an intense examination of the artistic elements and core principles of cinematography. It was a great experience for the Wide Eye crew to swap stories and talk tech with the team behind such SNL favorites as “Chanel No. 5”, “Red Flag”, and “The Bathroom Businessman.”
Plus they got their hands on some brand new toys, including this gadget (below), the “Movi”… a hand-held, 3-axis, brushless gimbal.
